Downstairs, a converted garage (ceiling height: 1.95 m) houses a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with TV. Upstairs is accessed from outside. A room with a table and storage provides a workspace. The bedroom has two 90 cm beds; the bathroom has a basin, shower and toilet. The balcony offers beautiful views over the meadows of Franche-Comté. The hamlet is 30 minutes from Bourg-en-Bresse, 1 hour 20 minutes from Lyon and Geneva, and 25 minutes from Oyonnax. Thoirette (10 km), the nearest village, has all the essential local shops. Within an hour: Corveissiat's steep-sided valley, Cize-Bolozon viaduct, kayaking in Thoirette, Treffort-Cuisiat castle, treetop adventure courses, Brou monastery, Cerdon caves, Lakes Vouglans, Genin and Nantua, and Jujurieux silk mill. A little further away: the medieval town of Pérouges. Many trails start at the chalet. For more active guests, the Retord plateau is about an hour's drive away. Cyclists have access to a secure, locked storage room at the chalet. Important for dog owners: the chalet grounds can accommodate only one small dog (under 10 kg).
